Hyderabad: ICFAI Law School in Hyderabad teams up with the Capital Foundation Society for a special event. Dr. Sasmit Patra, a Member of Parliament, will deliver a lecture titled “Challenges before Parliamentary Democracy in India.” This event takes place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Hotel Taj Krishna in Banjara Hills. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana, will attend as the chief guest and present the S Jaipal Reddy Democracy Award. Mohan Guruswamy, an author and policy advisor, will receive the award.
At a press meeting at the Press Club of Hyderabad, Prof. K. Purushotham Reddy, Executive President of Capital Foundation Society (CFS), spoke about the event. He emphasized CFS’s role in fostering debate and inspiring social change.
This year’s highlight is the lecture by Dr. Sasmit Patra on India’s parliamentary challenges. The event also honors S Jaipal Reddy’s legacy, with Mohan Guruswamy as the first award recipient, recognized for his contributions as an author and thought leader.
