Nagarkurnool: On Wednesday, District Collector Badavath Santosh made an unannounced visit to the Kasturba Gandhi Girls School in Naganool, Nagarkurnool Mandal. The purpose of his visit was to check how well the school was performing and to evaluate the quality of teaching provided by the staff. He entered a 10th-grade classroom to assess the students’ knowledge and understanding.
During the visit, the Collector encouraged the students to speak up about any problems they were facing in the school. The students pointed out that there was stagnant water around the school, which had caused wild plants to grow and attracted snakes. The Collector inspected the area with the students and assured them that he would work with officials to fix the issue as soon as possible. He also promised to address the water supply problem in the toilets. A special officer was instructed to keep the school grounds clean.
The Collector then visited the school kitchen and spoke to the cooking staff. He stressed the importance of keeping the kitchen hygienic and reminded them about a recent incident at another school where careless kitchen staff had been dismissed. The Collector checked the quality of the vegetables and rice being served to the students and made sure the food was good. He instructed the special officer, Shobharani, to make sure that no student faces any issues and that all needed improvements to the school infrastructure are made quickly.
