    District Collector Promises Fair Compensation for Farmers Affected by Highway Project

    Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh promised fair compensation to farmers who lost lands for the Bharatmala national highway project. He assured that the district administration is actively working on this.

    The Collector met with farmers from Kuchinayala and Devabanda villages on Thursday at the IDOC meeting hall. These farmers have been affected by the highway construction.

    During this meeting, the Collector listened to the farmers’ concerns. He explained that the Bharatmala highway spans about 55 kilometers from KT Doddi to Rajoli.

    The Collector emphasized the project’s importance, stating that it will boost development in transportation, agriculture, and commerce. He noted that 70 to 80 percent of the work is already done, thanks to the farmers’ cooperation.

    He hopes for swift completion of the remaining work with ongoing support from farmers. He assured that all affected individuals would receive justice. Discussions with NHAI officials are ongoing to increase compensation, and efforts are being made to secure more funds from the government.

    The Collector thanked the farmers for their cooperation and asked for their continued support to complete the project on time.

    Additional Collectors Lakshmi Narayana and Narsinga Rao, along with local farmers and officials, attended the meeting.
