    On the 78th Independence Day, District SP Mr. T. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, raised the national flag at the District Police Office in Gadwal. The event began at 8:30 AM, where he and the staff sang the national anthem together.

    During his speech, the SP wished everyone a happy Independence Day and reminded them of the great leaders who fought for India’s freedom. He emphasized the importance of remembering their sacrifices as India marks 77 years of independence. The SP also highlighted the significance of reflecting on our duties during national celebrations like Independence Day and Republic Day.

    Mr. T. Srinivasa Rao urged police officers and staff to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity. He stressed the importance of treating everyone equally at the police station and ensuring justice for all victims. According to him, true independence is realized when we serve the nation with dedication. He also praised India’s diverse cultures, languages, and religions, saying that unity in diversity is the country’s strength. The SP encouraged everyone to take pride in being Indian and to work hard to meet public expectations and earn respect.

    After his speech, the SP awarded service medals to seven officers from the district. These officers were chosen for the Seva Pataka awards, which were announced on June 2 to celebrate Telangana State Formation Day.

    – G. Eshwaraiah, ASI
    – S. Rajasekhar, ARSI
    – P. Venkateshwarlu, HC
    – P. Rami Reddy, HC
    – Prabhakar, HC
    – K. Ella Shiva Chari, AR HC
    – B. Srinivas, HC

    On this occasion, the SP also recognized students who excelled in district-level essay competitions. These competitions were part of the Telangana State’s initiative to create a drug-free state.

    The student winners are:
    – 1st Winner: Sirisha, MPHW 2nd Year, Government Junior College, Gadwal
    – 2nd Winner: Rajeshwari, 10th Class, Government Girls High School, Gadwal
    – 3rd Winner: Shravanthi, MPHW 2nd Year, Government Junior College, Gadwal

    Furthermore, the SP congratulated two ASIs, Lakshmaiah and Venkateshwarlu, for being selected for the President’s Medals.

    The event was attended by Additional SP Mr. K. Guna Sekhar, DSP Satya Narayana, Cyber Security Wing DSP Sattayya, Office AO Satish Kumar, SB Inspector Jammulappa, CCS Inspector Nageshwara Reddy, Cyber Wing CI Raju, Gadwal CI Bheem Kumar, RI Venkatesh, and officers and staff from IT, DC, RB, and SB divisions.
