Bhupalpalli: A 35-year-old woman in critical condition was saved by doctors at Suraksha Multispecialty Hospital in Bhupalpalli district.
She was brought to the hospital with severe internal bleeding caused by a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, which happens when a pregnancy develops outside the uterus. Her condition was extremely serious—her hemoglobin level was dangerously low at 4g/dL, and her blood pressure couldn’t even be detected.
Ectopic pregnancies are rare but dangerous, occurring in about 1 out of every 50 pregnancies. In these cases, fast treatment is vital—doctors need to act within the “Golden Hour,” or the first 60 minutes after symptoms appear. This case shows the hospital’s strong emergency care abilities.
The medical team quickly took action. Led by Critical Care Specialist Dr. Ramprasad Reddy and Gynecologist Dr. Padma Pravallika, they arranged five units of blood and prepared for emergency surgery. The three-hour operation was carried out by Dr. Padma Pravallika, Dr. Ramprasad Reddy, and Anesthesiologist Dr. Srikant.
Thanks to advanced techniques and teamwork among four different medical departments, the bleeding was successfully stopped. The hospital management said they were proud of how the team handled the critical situation. The patient’s family members were very thankful and said, “The doctors have given our loved one a new lease on life.”
