Nirmal: Pembi block in Nirmal district has achieved national recognition under the Aspirational Blocks Programme. It was ranked 4th in the entire country and 2nd in Zone 3. District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav shared this news on Friday and said it is a proud moment for the district.
As a result of this achievement, Pembi block has received a development award of Rs 1 crore. The ranking was based on performance across 40 different sectors. These included important areas like education, healthcare, nutrition, agriculture, social development, and basic infrastructure.
The Aspirational Blocks Programme also helped improve the outcomes of the Sampoornanath Abhiyan, which was held in July 2024. This initiative contributed to the block’s strong performance.
Collector Abhilasha Abhinav congratulated Additional Collectors Faizan Ahmed and Kishore Kumar, district and Pembi mandal officers, programme representative Naveen, and the local people for their hard work and support in achieving this success.
