Hyderabad: On Sunday, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) held an anti-drug awareness event at Government Model School Aliya in Nampally. The goal was to inform students about the dangers of drugs and encourage a drug-free lifestyle.
G S Daniel, Inspector of Police, spoke to the students. He shared how drug abuse can ruin lives and advised students to avoid drugs in schools. Daniel warned that drugs can often be hidden in simple items like chocolates and candies, which can trap students and harm their future.
He explained that drug abuse damages both the body and mind, reducing intelligence and potentially leading to death. Daniel also talked about the legal issues involved in drug abuse and urged students to stay away from bad influences.
The school’s Principal, Vishwanadham Gupta, and Vice Principal, Aruna, praised H-NEW’s efforts. They believe such programs help students make smart choices, understand drug abuse risks, and lead healthier lives.
C Venkata Ramulu, Sub Inspector, V R Subba Rao, Assistant Sub Inspector, and other H-NEW team members also attended the event.
