Indian External Affairs Minister, Dr. S Jaishankar, has announced that India will represent the concerns of the Global South at the upcoming G20 summit. During a virtual meeting with his counterparts from Brazil, South Africa, and China, Jaishankar emphasized the need to focus on issues such as climate change, sustainable development, and fair distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. He also expressed his hope that the G20 nations would work together to address the economic challenges faced by developing countries. The G20 summit is scheduled to take place in Rome, Italy in October 2021.
