Khanapur, Telangana – A light earthquake struck parts of Nirmal and Jagtial districts on Monday evening, briefly startling residents in the region.

The tremor occurred at 6:53 PM, lasting only a few seconds. Despite its short duration, the quake caused visible vibrations in homes. Household items and appliances shook, prompting many residents, especially women and children, to rush outside in fear.

No injuries or property damage were reported. However, the sudden jolt caused widespread concern. People gathered outside their homes, sharing their experiences and checking for any signs of damage.

Officials confirmed there was no reason for alarm but urged residents to remain alert. Local authorities are monitoring the situation and collecting information from affected areas.
