Hyderabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent notices to former Labour Minister Malla Reddy. These notices are connected to an investigation into alleged irregularities in the allocation of Postgraduate (PG) medical seats. The ED is looking into claims about the illegal sale of these seats.
In June of last year, the ED raided 12 private medical colleges that are said to be linked to Malla Reddy. During these searches, they found important documents, pen drives, hard disks, and other electronic devices that could serve as evidence.
The ED suspects that Malla Reddy, along with others, was involved in selling PG medical seats illegally. They believe seat allotments were manipulated in violation of rules. The raids were conducted after officials received a tip-off, and investigators claim to have collected substantial evidence to support these allegations.
Malla Reddy is a well-known political figure in Telangana. He previously served as the state’s Minister for Labour and Employment. His name has been involved in several controversies in the past, and this PG seat scam has added to his list of troubles. The investigation is expected to go deeper as the ED looks closely at the evidence gathered during the raids.
Malla Reddy has denied any involvement in the illegal activities. He claims that the evidence collected is either false or misunderstood. Despite his denial, the investigation is ongoing, and further arrests or developments may occur as the ED continues its inquiry.
