The Delhi government and MCD are working together to improve education in schools through a new program called ‘Mission Buniyaad’. The goal is to strengthen the foundation of every student so they can become successful engineers, doctors, and CEOs. The program was introduced by Delhi’s Education Minister Atishi and Mayor Shelly Oberoi, who spoke with 2,700 school principals. The program aims to provide quality education and equal opportunities to every child, as envisioned by B R Ambedkar 75 years ago.

Mayor Oberoi praised the Delhi government’s current education model and hopes to bring a similar one to MCD schools. She stressed the importance of teacher training in fostering student development and mentioned plans to send teachers abroad for training. ‘Mission Buniyaad’ will include summer camps, special classes, and mega PTM in the upcoming academic session. The joint efforts of MCD and DoE are necessary to strengthen the foundational learning of children in Delhi’s government schools, who are the future of the country.
