    Hyderabad: The Telangana Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Vikas Raj, has signed agreements with representatives from the railway, postal, and petroleum sectors to increase voter awareness in the state ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The goal is to boost voter turnout on election day by promoting voter education programs and initiatives using the resources and infrastructure of these ministries.

    Vikas Raj outlined the terms of the agreements, stressing the important role of officials in leading voter awareness activities. Dr. PVS Reddy, Chief Postmaster General of Telangana State, discussed the voter awareness efforts already underway in the Postal Department, such as digital outreach and creating special stamps. Representatives from HPCL, BPCL, and IOCL in the petroleum sector also shared how they are spreading voter awareness messages through hoardings at petrol bunks.

    The CEO highlighted the need to overcome logistical challenges and expand awareness activities, including discussions on providing pro-bono hoarding space as directed by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The meeting showed a collaborative spirit and a commitment to promoting informed and participatory democratic processes. Joint CEO Sarfaraz Ahmad emphasized the importance of collaboration and the signing of agreements between the ECI and the Ministries of Railways, Postal, and Petroleum.
