A special flight carrying Sonia and Rahul Gandhi had to make an emergency landing at Bhopal airport. The flight was traveling from Bengaluru to Delhi when it was diverted due to bad weather. The Bhopal police commissioner confirmed that they later boarded an Indigo aircraft to continue their journey to Delhi.
Earlier in the day, both Sonia and Rahul Gandhi attended an Opposition Meeting in Bengaluru. During the meeting, a 26-member grouping of Opposition parties was formed for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Rahul Gandhi announced that the alliance would be called INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance).
