    GANNAVARAM: Former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has been arrested. The police took him into custody for his alleged involvement in the attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gannavaram.

    Vamsi was arrested near his home while he was traveling from Hyderabad to Gannavaram. After his arrest, he was taken to the Gannavaram police station. So far, 18 people have been arrested in connection with this case.

    The incident occurred on February 20 this year when YSRCP leaders attacked the TDP office in Gannavaram. They destroyed furniture, assaulted several TDP leaders, and set their vehicles on fire. The attack lasted nearly five hours.

    Although Vamsi did not take part in the attack directly, it is alleged that he encouraged the YSRCP members. At the time of the attack, Vamsi was serving as an MLA. Following the coalition government’s rise to power, the attack on the Gannavaram TDP office was taken very seriously.

    The police began their investigation after a complaint was filed by TDP office operator Mudunuri Satyavardhan. Vamsi was listed as the 71st accused in this case. With 18 arrests already made, the police have now detained Vamsi.
