Former minister and MP Komatireddy Venkata Reddy questioned the need for the state government to spend Rs105 crore on the state formation decade celebrations. He believes that many people in the state, including farmers and the unemployed, are struggling and may not see the value in these celebrations. Speaking to reporters in Nalgonda on Sunday, he shared that farmers staying at IKP centers have endured harsh weather conditions and may not feel that the celebrations are necessary.

Reddy also shared a story of a farmer who was hit by a tractor while sleeping on a pile of grain in a purchase center in Karimnagar. He added that there are 30 lakh unemployed people in the state who spent a lot of money preparing for group exams, but their future has been thrown into confusion due to leaked papers. Furthermore, no teachers have been recruited in nine years. Reddy suggests that the government should ask the unemployed whether the decade celebrations are necessary or not.

Reddy believes that the government is using the approaching elections as an opportunity to create commotion through the celebrations. He also stated that the BRS party is likely to lose in the next election, despite attempts at gimmicks and fraudulent announcements. Reddy is confident that Congress will win 12 seats in the joint Nalgonda district in the coming elections.
