Fake doctor caught during surprise inspection at TGMC

Hyderabad: The Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) recently conducted a surprise inspection at Ankura Hospital in Madinaguda. During the inspection, they found a man named Kalapala Bharat Kumar allegedly working as a Duty Medical Officer (DMO) without a valid medical license.

According to the TGMC, Bharat Kumar was using a fake registration certificate and other forged documents to practice medicine at the hospital. The inspection was carried out on March 19 by a team led by Dr. K Vishnu, along with vigilance officers M. Ramu and M. Rakesh.

After discovering the fake documents, the TGMC filed a complaint at the Miyapur police station in Hyderabad. A case was registered, and an FIR numbered 432/2025 was filed on March 25, 2025.

The Telangana Medical Council stated that Bharat Kumar had created a fake medical registration certificate. They are now waiting for additional information from the Station House Officer (SHO) at the Miyapur police station.
