On Wednesday, State Legislative Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy visited Nizamabad district to inspect the crops damaged by unseasonal rain and hailstorm. He met with the affected farmers and expressed his condolences. As a farmer himself, he understood the pain of crop loss.

The Speaker instructed the district administration to conduct a joint survey by the Revenue and Agriculture departments and send details of preliminary estimates on the crop loss to the State government. He also mentioned that Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao had issued orders to estimate the crop damage due to the untimely rains.
