Farmers in Wanaparthy are upset because their paddy stocks are not being purchased on time. Due to heavy rains, the stocks are getting wet in Peebbair, Veepanagandla, Panagal, and Chinnambai mandals. Despite instructions from the District Collector, civil supply officials are not weighing the stocks.

The farmers are now busy drying the paddy again. They want officials to buy the grain immediately, even if it is wet. With the Kharif season starting soon, farmers are getting anxious and demanding quick purchases. Some are even protesting on roads to show their frustration.

In Wanaparthy district, paddy stocks at IKP centers have gotten wet. Farmers in different mandals are worried about officials not buying the wet grains. They want the government to purchase all the paddy within the next few days. In some parts of the state, farmers have not been paid after selling their paddy. This has led to farmers threatening to protest at government offices if they are not paid on time.
