    Training Program on Integrated Farming Organized in Nagarkurnool

    A training and field visit on Integrated Farming was held at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Palem Agricultural Research Center, Nagarkurnool district. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Program Coordinator, shared that adopting integrated farming systems can help small and marginal farmers earn a stable income, especially in the current climate conditions. He also pointed out that integrated farming provides balanced nutritional benefits.

    Vinod Deshmukh, a representative from NABARD Bank in Hyderabad, explained how integrated farming can significantly boost farmers’ income. He also informed the attendees about the various credit facilities offered by NABARD Bank to support their agricultural efforts.

    Entomologist Dr. O. Shail educated farmers on integrated pest management techniques. He detailed the steps needed to effectively control pests and protect crops from damage.

    Dr. Rajasekhar, an Agricultural Extension Scientist, encouraged farmers to adopt integrated farming as a sustainable method to increase their income. He, along with other scientists, gave detailed explanations about the different components of integrated farming systems.

    The program saw an enthusiastic response, with active participation from KVK Palem scientists, NABARD Bank officials, agricultural officers, and a large group of farmers. The event aimed to provide practical knowledge and support to help farmers improve their livelihoods.
