Farmers Protest for Loan Waiver in Siddipet

A group of farmers from Venkata Puram village staged a protest in front of the Siddipet collectorate on Monday. They were asking for a loan waiver from the government.

Around 80 farmers participated in the protest, submitting a petition to the authorities. They explained that they have not yet received the promised loan waiver and are in need of help.

The farmers said that some of them took loans of up to Rs 1 lakh but have not received any relief. Even though the government has announced loan waivers for amounts up to Rs 2 lakh, many farmers are still waiting for their loans to be cleared.
