Telangana Rythu Sangam Active workers met at the TNGO hall in Jogulamba Gadwal district to discuss the challenges faced by seed cotton farmers. District President GK Eedanna highlighted that 40,000 farmers in Nadigadda have struggled without government support for 25 years.

In recent years, cotton crops in the district were affected by a virus, causing financial losses for farmers. Despite promises from authorities, no solutions have been provided. Farmers feel neglected and believe decisions are made in favor of companies in the region.

As the monsoon season nears, urgent action is needed to help seed cotton farmers. Setting the price of a seed packet at ₹700 and providing interest-free loans of ₹2 lakh per acre can ease financial burdens. Insurance coverage should also be implemented after ginning to protect crops from damage.

Farmers should be paid within 50 days after ginning to help alleviate their financial strain and ensure timely compensation for their hard work.
