The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in association with ICICI Bank, held a one-day programme on “Customs Schemes for Exporters: Benefits, Procedures and Compliances” in Hyderabad on October 9, 2026.
The programme covered Customs schemes and trade facilitation measures for international business. Sessions focused on the benefits, eligibility rules, application procedures, documentation and compliance requirements for exporters.
Participants discussed Advance Authorisation, Duty Free Import Authorisation, the EPCG Scheme, bonded manufacturing and warehousing, exports under Bond or LUT, AEO, EMI, Customs compliance, digital Customs services and ICEGATE procedures.
The sessions aimed to help participants identify suitable Customs schemes, understand how to apply and claim eligible benefits, and meet post-export compliance requirements. The programme also addressed ways to reduce transaction costs and improve export competitiveness.
Exporters, manufacturers, MSMEs, entrepreneurs, trade professionals and other stakeholders attended the programme to learn about the schemes and their use in international trade.
D. Sri Nagesh, Assistant Commissioner of Customs at the Hyderabad Customs Commissionerate; S. Anil Kumar, president of the Hyderabad Customs Brokers’ Association; Srinivas Tatikonda, zonal head of ICICI Bank; Ch. Raju, regional head of ICICI Bank; and R. Kulkarni, head of FIEO’s Telangana Chapter, addressed the gathering.
An interactive session gave participants an opportunity to raise challenges and discuss using Customs schemes to support exports. FIEO was established by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, in 1965.
