Bonalu festival is in full swing in Telangana, marked by energetic Potharaju dances and the rhythmic beating of pots. On Thursday, devotees offered the fifth bonam to Goddess Sri Jagadambika Yellamma at Golconda Fort. This event aligns with the holy month of Ashada.
Chantibabu, the temple’s chairman, and other committee members performed special pujas for the goddess. Thousands of devotees gathered at the fort to honor the goddess, bringing bonams and water pots as offerings.
To ensure everything ran smoothly, the temple committee made special arrangements. The water board provided fresh water facilities, and police were present to maintain order. Important attendees included EO Chidella Vasantha, temple priest Sarvesh, committee members Akula Chandrasekhar and G. Santosh Goud, along with water board officials Rajesh, Ramesh, and Narsing Rao.
