Hydraa is actively tackling illegal constructions in Hyderabad. They focus on removing unauthorized structures from areas like canals, ponds, and public parks.
On July 11, Hydraa teams demolished illegal buildings in Kukatpally. After receiving a complaint about an unauthorized structure in Habib Nagar, officials inspected the site. With police assistance, they took down the illegal constructions.
The Habib Nagar drain, measuring 7 meters, was obstructed. Hydraa demolished boundary walls from NRC Garden, NKNR Garden, and another wall blocking the drain. They also cleared debris and waste from the site.
In another incident, Hydraa acted on complaints from the Nalanda Nagar Welfare Association about illegal use of park land in Rajendranagar. After visiting, they demolished the unauthorized structures.
Before the demolition, some residents protested. They claimed ownership of the land and said they received no prior notice. Some even lay down in front of the machinery. There were heated exchanges, particularly involving women.
Officials reported that 1,000 square yards of park land in Hyderguda Village (Survey No. 16) were illegally occupied. An unauthorized wall was built, which was removed with police support.
Hydraa affirmed their commitment to removing illegal buildings, regardless of who constructed them. They emphasized that encroachments will not be tolerated.
