A fire broke out in the storeroom of the mother and child health center at District Central Government Hospital in Nalgonda on Monday. The fire started when bleaching powder fell into leftover acid in a mug, causing smoke to come out. The fire was quickly extinguished by the hospital staff, preventing any major harm to the patients and property.

District Collector Karnan rushed to the hospital upon receiving the information. He spoke to the hospital superintendent, Dr. Lacchu Naik, to gather more details about the incident.
