Yashoda Hospitals in Somajiguda has set a new record in surgery by conducting the first 3D-printed titanium talus bone replacement in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Dr. Sunil Dachepalli led the medical team in treating 38-year-old Pankaj, whose ankle suffered from avascular necrosis after an earlier injury caused it to collapse.

Instead of the usual ankle fusion method, the team chose a custom-made 3D-printed titanium implant. This implant was carefully designed using detailed CT scans. The surgery was successful, allowing Pankaj to regain full movement and be free of pain. Dr. Dachepalli and Dr. Pavan Gorukanti highlighted that this achievement reflects the hospital’s dedication to pioneering orthopaedic treatments and enhancing patient care.
