Around 76,290 students have been allotted seats in the Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) 2024 first-phase. This information was released by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) on Thursday.

Of the total 1,04,784 students who registered for undergraduate admissions, 81,769 candidates provided web options and 76,290 have been assigned seats. Among them, 62.74% are female and 37.26% are male. A total of 72,431 students chose English as their medium of instruction. DOST serves as a platform for students looking to join undergraduate courses offered by state universities like Osmania, Telangana, and Palamuru.

Candidates who have secured a seat must reserve it by self-reporting online and paying a fee of either Rs 500 or Rs 1,000. This fee is symbolic and will be adjusted against their tuition fees later. The deadline for Phase-II Registrations and Options is June 14, with seat allotments scheduled for June 18. Students allocated to Government Degree Colleges/University Colleges and eligible for ePASS fee reimbursement do not need to pay to reserve their seats during online self-reporting.

If a candidate fails to report to their chosen college between June 29 and July 5, they will forfeit the seat they were assigned or self-reported. TSCHE recommends that candidates stay updated by checking the official website regularly for any updates or additional information to ensure a smooth admission process into their preferred undergraduate programs.
