The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation commissioner, Ronald Rose, said that steps have been taken to prevent floods in the city during the rainy season. He, along with Serilingampally zonal commissioner Sneha Sabarish, inspected water stagnation points at various locations like Madhapur Circle, Bata Showroom, Yashoda Hospital, and Shilparamam. Rose instructed engineering officials to propose permanent measures to prevent floods.

The engineering officials were told to create an action plan for a side road at Trishul Grand, clean and desilt side vents near the Bata showroom, and finish a new box drain on Vikram Hospital Road quickly. Rose also suggested setting up a rainwater harvesting pit near Shilparamam and clearing land opposite it. He directed the authorities to work on box drain proposals at Smile Line Dental, mark the road up to Yashoda Hospital, remove bus shelters, and clear nala and roadside encroachments.
