Shocking Rock Blasting Accident Injures Five in Hyderabad

At least five people were hurt in a rock blasting accident at a construction site in Kokapet, Narsingi, on Friday. Large stones flew through the air and fell on people during the incident, causing chaos and injuries.

A real estate company was conducting rock blasting near the Neopolis area. They used detonators, but the explosions sent stones and debris flying, hitting people and damaging nearby vehicles. The sudden blasts caused panic among local residents.

The explosions, which included at least ten detonations, were carried out without any prior warning to locals or necessary safety precautions. Some residents initially mistook the loud blasts for a movie shoot.

Among the injured were Ayyappa Swamy devotees and construction workers living in nearby labor camps. Their injuries highlight the lack of safety measures during the operation.

The Narsingi police were alerted about the incident and have registered a case under the Explosives Act. They have started an investigation to determine what went wrong and hold those responsible accountable.
