Narayanpet district is experiencing continuous heavy rains, causing serious disruptions. The local authorities are taking steps to protect the community. On Monday, District Collector Sikta Patnaik assessed the flooding at Karni village in Makthal mandal. Floodwaters from nearby tanks have overflowed onto the culvert, endangering those traveling in the area.

Incessant rain has caused tanks in Tekulapally, Rudra Samudram, and Gollapally to overflow. The excess water is now rushing across the culvert to Karni village, reaching knee-deep levels and posing a threat to anyone trying to cross.

Collector Patnaik evaluated the risky conditions and ordered a halt to all movement on this route until the situation improves. She emphasized the dangers, especially for children and the elderly, and stressed the need to prevent any attempts to cross.
