Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent announcement about the establishment of the National Turmeric Board (NTB) has given hope to farmers in the State, according to BJP Khammam Parliamentary Convener Namburi Ramalingeswara Rao.
Rao expressed his happiness and spoke to the farming community during an event in Sathupalli. He performed an abhishekam ceremony with milk and turmeric on a portrait of PM Modi in the turmeric fields. Rao praised the efforts of the BJP-led NDA government for their dedication to farmers’ welfare.
He reminded everyone that it was the farmers who had started demanding the establishment of the NTB before 2006. However, it was only under PM Modi’s leadership that this issue was resolved. Rao also mentioned that the farmers in Nizamabad will benefit greatly from the NTB.
Rao also highlighted that PM Modi’s announcement about the NTB had silenced opposition parties like Congress and critics of the BJP who had doubted their commitment to farmers’ concerns.
Prominent party leaders like B Satyanaryana, T Satyanaryana Reddy, A Suribabu, G Satyanarayana, M Prasad, D Krishnaiah, G Prabhakar Reddy, M Srinivas Raju, J Naresh, and others were present at the event.
