A 33-year-old woman and three others were arrested for planning the murder of her husband and making it look like a heart attack in Yellareddyguda, Hyderabad. The incident was discovered when one of the accused surrendered to Madhura Nagar police three months after the crime.
The main accused is Srilakshmi Rajesh, along with two history-sheeters named Rajeshwar and Babban. They were involved in an extramarital affair and wanted to live together by selling their properties in Medchal and Yellareddyguda. They saw Srilakshmi’s husband, Vijaykumar, as a threat and devised a plan to kill him.
Initially, Srilakshmi convinced Vijaykumar to move to a rented flat nearby, claiming their old house layout was not suitable. Rajesh then hired two rowdy sheeters, Rajeshwar Reddy and Babban, to carry out the murder.
On February 1, while Vijaykumar was taking their sons to school, the assailants entered the house and waited in the bathroom. When he returned, Srilakshmi locked the door, allowing them to attack Vijaykumar with dumbbells and strangle him. His body was then hidden in the bathroom.
To cover up the murder, Srilakshmi said Vijaykumar died of a heart attack and arranged for his cremation. However, one of the assailants surrendered to the police out of guilt, leading to the arrest of Srilakshmi, Rajesh, and Babban. The case has been registered under Sections 302 and 201 IPC.
