A successful eye screening camp took place at Gattu Social Welfare Residential School and College for Girls. The event was supported by Bhavishya Bharat and the LTIMindtree Foundation to improve eye health and detect vision issues early among students and staff.
Nearly 480 students and staff, including both high school and college levels, received eye checkups. After the examinations, necessary eye medications were given to Principal Mrs. Shobharani to ensure students receive continued care over the following days.
Principal Mrs. Shobharani expressed joy and gratitude for the program, emphasizing the importance of such health initiatives. She also suggested a future Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program to benefit adolescent girls.
The camp was attended by Bhavishya Bharat members like Amaresh, Muniswamy, Jilani, Ragini, and Akbar, along with school and college staff. Dr. Ashraf, an eye specialist, led the medical examinations.
Attendees praised the initiative for enhancing student well-being and raising awareness about eye care in schools.
