The Telangana Food Task Force recently inspected popular food joints in Hyderabad and found several violations. These violations included stale and expired food, insects in vegetables, reused oil, open dustbins, and staff not using proper hygiene practices. Inspectors also found substandard water quality, open drainage in kitchens, expired products, fungal-infected vegetables, and unlabelled food items.

The inspections revealed that roadside eateries, popular cafes, and fine dining restaurants maintained proper records like medical fitness certificates for food handlers, pest control records, cleaning schedules, and product documents. However, these violations were still found in some establishments.
