G Jagadish Reddy, a senior leader of the BRS party, stated that the public response to roadshows of their party chief, K Chandrashekar, shows the government’s failure. Speaking at a ‘Meet the Press’ event at the Press Club, Jagadish Reddy criticized Congress leaders for resorting to personal attacks when questioned about the government’s six guarantees. He highlighted the achievements of the BRS government over the past decade, including economic growth, industrial development, law enforcement, and support for agriculture.
According to Jagadish Reddy, people were surprised by KCR’s defeat in the election, as Telangana had become a leading state in terms of per capita income under BRS rule. He praised KCR for instilling confidence in people from all backgrounds and facilitating the return of migrants to their hometowns. The BRS government’s focus on supporting agricultural societies and implementing reforms in the agricultural sector was also emphasized.
Jagadish Reddy claimed that the BRS administration had significantly improved the medical sector and eradicated health issues like the fluoride epidemic in Nalgonda district. He criticized the Congress party for making empty promises and deceiving the people to gain power. Despite challenges, he expressed confidence in the strength of the BRS party in the State.
The BRS leader mentioned that half of their candidates were contesting from Congress and BJP, indicating the party’s continued presence and expected success in the upcoming elections. He called for an analysis of his and Komatireddy’s assets to compare their growth. Jagadish Reddy dismissed comments from Congress leader Sam Pitroda but expressed concern over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attention to Pitroda.
