On Tuesday, G Niranjan, the senior vice-president of Telangana PCC, reminded people that the Congress party was the only one to grant separate statehood for Telangana. He claimed that the Congress gave political opportunities to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar and his family to rule the state. Niranjan said that despite not doing much during its 55-year rule, the Congress still managed to grant separate statehood for Telangana.

Niranjan questioned why KCR and his family, including KTR, went to Sonia Gandhi’s residence in Delhi to thank her after the passage of Telangana Bill in Parliament if Congress was the party that saw the blood of Telangana activists.
