    The G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration discussed the Ukraine-Russia conflict and expressed concerns about the impact of wars and conflicts around the world. They emphasized that all states should act in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter and refrain from using force or nuclear weapons. The G20 is primarily focused on economic cooperation, but it acknowledges that geopolitical and security issues can affect the global economy.

    The declaration recognized the negative effects of the war in Ukraine on global food and energy security, supply chains, stability, inflation, and growth. It acknowledged that there are different views on the situation in Ukraine. The declaration appreciated the efforts of Turkey and the UN-brokered Istanbul Agreements in promoting food products and ensuring the safe transportation of goods from Ukraine and Russia. It called for the implementation of these agreements to meet the demand in developing countries, especially in Africa.

    The declaration emphasized the importance of sustaining food and energy security and called for the cessation of attacks on relevant infrastructure. It expressed concern about the impact of conflicts on civilians and their socio-economic well-being.

    The G20 Leaders’ Declaration called on all states to uphold international law, including territorial integrity and sovereignty, humanitarian law, and the multilateral system for peace and stability. It emphasized the need for peaceful resolutions to conflicts through diplomacy and dialogue.

    The declaration stated that the G20 states will work together to address the adverse impact of the war on the global economy. They welcome initiatives that support a comprehensive and lasting peace in Ukraine, in line with the principles of the UN Charter.
