Gadwal: Today, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the District BRS Party Office in Gadwal town. Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, who oversees the constituency for the BRS Party, led the event.
Alampur MLA Vijayudu and Basu Hanumanthu Naidu together raised the National Flag at the party office. A strong sense of patriotism filled the air. Before the ceremony, they honored Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, and the Telangana Thalli statue with flowers.
During the event, leaders wished the people of the constituency a happy 79th Independence Day. They remembered the sacrifices of many freedom fighters who battled against British rule. The British came to trade but ended up exploiting India’s wealth and its people. Great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Alluri Sitarama Raju fought hard for freedom. The leaders encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from these figures and work for the nation’s progress.
The celebration included participation from many notable individuals such as Nagar Doddi Venkata Ramulu, former ZPTC member Basu Shyamala, G. Raghavendra Reddy, and R. Kishore, among others. Many party leaders, activists, and young members were present too.
Patriotic chants and cultural activities highlighted the event, showcasing unity and pride in the country’s progress since gaining independence.
