Gadwal: The Telangana State Police is hosting state-level contests in photography, short films, and essay writing for students and amateur photographers. These events are part of the upcoming Police Commemoration Day celebrations, honoring police martyrs and their dedication to society. The Police Flag Day Week will commence on October 21, remembering the brave sacrifices made by police personnel.

Photography and Short Film Competitions

Amateur photographers and young filmmakers are invited to showcase the bravery and service of the police. Participants need to submit three recent photos (10×8 inches) and a short film, no longer than three minutes, by October 25 at the District Police Office PRO Section in Gadwal. The themes include:

  • Addressing superstitions and social evils
  • Police actions during emergencies
  • Police efforts in natural disasters
  • Police force reputation and achievements
  • Tackling cybercrimes, eve-teasing, and ragging
  • The impact of drug abuse

Photos and films must be created between October 2024 and October 2025. Submit short films on a pen drive with printed photos.

Essay Writing Competition for Students

Students from 6th grade to postgraduate levels can join an online essay competition in Telugu, English, and Urdu. The essay topic is: “Drugs Menace: Role of Police in Prevention and How Students Can Stay Away from Drugs.” Essays should be under 500 words and submitted by October 28 as an image or PDF via the official link: https://forms.gle/jaWLdt2yhNrMpe3eA.
