Upon the seizure, the cash was immediately confiscated as per the guidelines set out by the Election Commission. The SST has initiated an investigation into the source of the funds and its intended use.
It is crucial to note that carrying large sums of cash during the election period without valid documentation is a direct violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
