Hyderabad is preparing for another busy September in 2025 as two major events, Ganesh idol immersion and Milad-un-Nabi, are likely to overlap for the third year in a row.
The Ganesh Chaturthi festival ends with the idol immersion on September 6, which is the eleventh day of the celebration. Eid Milad un Nabi is tentatively planned for September 5, 2025, but this could change depending on the crescent moon’s sighting.
Although the exact date for the Milad-un-Nabi procession is not set, it might be adjusted to avoid clashing with the Ganesh idol immersion events, which usually begin on the festival’s seventh day in Hyderabad.
This situation is similar to last year when the idol immersion happened on September 17, while Milad un Nabi was on September 16, 2024. To maintain harmony, the Milad-un-Nabi celebration occurred on its designated day, but the procession was postponed to September 19.
