Telangana’s Director General of Police, Jitender, shared that the Ganesh immersion events are going smoothly in the city and throughout the state. On Saturday, he mentioned that special security forces are stationed in three areas of Hyderabad to ensure safety during the immersion ceremonies.
He announced the successful completion of the Khairatabad Ganesh immersion, a major event for the region. Following this, the Balapur Ganapati Shobha Yatra has begun. The immersion of the Balapur Ganesh is expected to finish within four hours.
The DGP highlighted that the immersion activities will continue until Sunday and asked the public to cooperate for a quick and safe conclusion. To avoid any incidents, extra special forces are on alert, with monitoring from the Integrated Command and Control Centre in Banjara Hills.
Jitender also noted that the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), along with officers from the police, Excise, Forest, Railway Protection Force, and Special Task Force, are actively participating in the immersion operations.
