Ahmed Balala Bin Abdullah Balala is a popular politician who has been elected as an MLA for the Malakpet constituency in Hyderabad four times. He is known for his accessibility to the people and his prompt attention to their concerns. Balala’s journey from businessman to legislator has made him a key figure in the AIMIM party and a close associate of the Owaisi brothers.

Balala started his political career with the Telugu Desam Party before joining AIMIM. He won the MLA seat from the Malakpet segment in 2009, which was historically a stronghold of the BJP. He has continued to be re-elected in 2014, 2018, and 2023.

Born on October 22, 1967, Balala completed his schooling at St Paul’s High School in Himayat Nagar and currently resides near Charminar. In 2009, he defeated Muhammad Muzaffar Ali Khan of the Telugu Desam Party to secure his first election victory.

Balala has expressed his passion for politics since his teenage years, emphasizing the importance of having a social mindset as a political leader. He credits his interest in serving the people as the driving force behind his entry into politics. Since joining AIMIM, Balala has solidified Malakpet as a stronghold for the party, consistently winning elections by a significant margin.
