T Prakash Goud, the MLA from Rajendranagar, has won his fourth consecutive victory in the recent Assembly elections. He has been undefeated in this constituency for the past 15 years.
Prakash Goud, who is known for owning several liquor shops in Rajendranagar, started his political career with the TDP. He won his first election in 2009 and has since secured victories in 2014, 2018, and 2023. Despite facing tough competition from BJP candidate T Srinivas Reddy this time, Prakash Goud emerged victorious once again.
In the 2023 elections, Prakash Goud received 1,21,734 votes compared to the 89,638 votes received by the BJP candidate. This gave him a comfortable margin of victory with 32,096 votes.
Prakash Goud is known for his strategic political moves, especially in key areas like Shamshabad and Gandipet mandals. Despite some growing discontent among the local population in Rajendranagar, he has successfully managed to secure his position.
The Congress party, which has been struggling in Rangareddy district, has not been able to capitalize on the situation in Rajendranagar. This has further strengthened Prakash Goud’s position in the constituency as he continues to dominate the political landscape.
