Thakur Raja Singh, also known as ‘Tiger Raja Singh’, has quickly risen in politics from a small businessman to a three-term legislator. He is affiliated with the Hindu Yuva Vahini and has strong ties with local political leaders, including being a former aide to Congress MLA Mukesh Goud.

Raja Singh’s political journey began when he was offered a ticket by the Telugu Desam Party in the 2009 municipality elections, which he won with a large majority. In 2014, he joined the BJP and secured the Goshamahal Assembly seat. Born in 1977, his family has been settled in Hyderabad for generations, earning a living making idols of gods and goddesses.

In his constituency, Raja Singh focused on improving civic infrastructure, including building roads, upgrading sewage and water pipelines, and constructing temples and statues. Despite his success in elections, he has stated that his primary goal is to work towards establishing a Hindu Rashtra and advocating for the protection of cows.

Raja Singh’s dedication to Hindutva and his efforts to promote Hindu causes have earned him nicknames like ‘Gau Rakshak’ and ‘Hindu ka Sher’. He continues to be a prominent figure in Hyderabad politics, winning re-election in 2018 and 2023.
