GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan and Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar conducted a joint inspection of the proposed KBR Flyover project in Hyderabad. The senior officials also reviewed the ongoing one-way traffic trial around KBR Park, a major landmark in the city. The inspection was part of efforts to assess the project’s readiness and address traffic management concerns in the area.
The inspection team included several key officials such as Joel Davis, IPS (Traffic), Smt. Kajol Singh, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Santhosh, IAS, Zonal Commissioner Khairathabad, the Chief Engineer of GHMC, and representatives from Megha Constructions. The comprehensive review covered multiple aspects of the infrastructure project to ensure smooth implementation.
During the inspection, the team examined the proposed alignment of the flyover, traffic management measures, utility shifting requirements, and road safety aspects. The officials also reviewed landscaping plans and the overall project execution strategy. The focus was on ensuring that all technical and administrative aspects are in place before the project moves to the next phase.
The GHMC Commissioner issued clear instructions to all departments involved in the project. He emphasized the need for close coordination between various government departments and agencies. The Commissioner directed officials to expedite pending clearances and resolve inter-departmental issues promptly to avoid delays in project implementation.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of ensuring timely completion of the KBR Flyover project while minimizing inconvenience to commuters. He instructed all stakeholders to work together efficiently to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards throughout the construction phase.
