Hyderabad: Sneha Shabarish, the Additional Commissioner of GHMC, has urged officers to quickly resolve issues presented in Prajavani.
During a session at the GHMC headquarters on Monday, she carefully reviewed complaints from citizens and instructed officials to act on them.
The GHMC received 166 complaints through the public hearing Prajavani programme at various circles, covering topics like town planning and electric lights.
At the headquarters, 62 complaints were noted. The Town Planning Department received 33, while the Engineering Department got four. Other departments like Tax, Land Acquisition, Health, UCD, and UBD each received a few complaints.
The Prajavani phone-in programme also received four requests, which were sent to the relevant departments.
In the six zones under GHMC, 104 complaints were logged. The Zonal Commissioner instructed officials to handle 40 in Kukatpally, 27 in Secunderabad, 18 in Serilingampally, 12 in LB Nagar, and 7 in Charminar.
Sneha Shabarish emphasized the need for authorities to address these rising personal and societal issues responsibly.
Present at the meeting were Additional Commissioners Yadagiri Rao, Ashok Samrat, Venu Gopal, and others, including joint and department officers.
