Hyderabad: On Monday, the 24th group of 295 Haj pilgrims began their journey from the Hyderabad Embarkation Point at Haj House, Nampally. Assembly Speaker G Prasad Kumar officially sent off the pilgrims with a ceremony.
During the farewell, Prasad Kumar congratulated the travelers and wished them a safe and meaningful pilgrimage. He highlighted the importance of Haj and encouraged the pilgrims to return with positive changes in their lives. “If you sincerely seek forgiveness from Allah, He will forgive you,” he advised, urging them to focus on spiritual growth.
Syed Gulam Afzal Biyabani Khusro Pasha, the chairman of the State Haj Committee, called on both pilgrims and State Haj inspectors to support the elderly during the trip and to seek their blessings. He was pleased that this year’s pilgrims have the chance to experience “Haj Akbar”, a rare and significant event in the Islamic calendar.
Sajjad Ali, the executive officer of the State Haj Committee, welcomed the pilgrims and promised comprehensive support to ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage. The atmosphere was filled with devotion, unity, and care as the pilgrims prepared for their sacred journey to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
