Gitam organizes expert sessions on signal processing and career paths

Hyderabad: The Department of Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering (EECE) at GITAM School of Technology in Hyderabad recently organized a special lecture series. The event, held on Tuesday, featured talks by experts in the fields of signal processing and international career development.

One of the main speakers was Prof. Karlheinz Brandenburg, a world-famous expert in audio technology. He is the CEO of Brandenburg Labs GmbH and a Senior Professor at the Technical University of Ilmenau in Germany. Prof. Brandenburg gave an interesting lecture on how signal processing is used in audio and acoustics. He talked about the history of audio coding, how people hear sound, and new trends like Music Information Retrieval (MIR), 3D sound, and headphone technologies.

Another guest speaker was Sunanda Rao-Erdem, the Founder and CEO of Seraphim Communications LLP, based in New Delhi. She spoke to the students about career opportunities in Germany. Her talk provided useful information on how young engineers can build successful international careers, especially in Germany’s fast-growing technology and innovation industries.
