Godrej Capital, the financial services arm of the Godrej Industries Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana. This agreement was made through its finance and housing finance subsidiaries.

The main goal of this partnership is to promote the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Telangana. It aims to improve access to credit and business opportunities for small businesses across the state.

As part of the agreement, both the Telangana government and Godrej Capital will work together to increase credit availability for MSMEs, especially for first-time and underserved borrowers. The initiative will use digital lending tools and focus on supporting women entrepreneurs through Godrej Capital’s women-focused program, Aarohi. The collaboration hopes to boost entrepreneurship and support economic development in Telangana’s growing business hubs.

Telangana is one of India’s fastest-growing states, known for its strong support for MSMEs. The state’s recently launched MSME Policy 2024 focuses on improving credit access, encouraging digital tools, and strengthening business infrastructure.
